Sadly, in these days of unsolicited commercial e-mail (spam), I am reluctant to put my e-mail address where it may be collected by one of the so-called "spam-bots" -- automated programs which search out millions of addresses from newsgroups and web-pages -- and so I have written it in a form which I hope is unrecognised by such methods :
Hopefully, most people with legitimate reasons to use this address will be able to remove the words in capital letters to obtain the correct address!!
My apologies for having to resort to such tactics, but after my first attempts at writing these web-pages using the more traditional mailto: hyperlinks, I was visited by a spam-bot who passed my address on to just about every mailing list in existence. It has taken weeks to clear myself from these lists, and I am still receiving at least one spam message per day. It is sad that the irresponsible behaviour of a tiny minority is spoiling the fun for the rest of us, but please don't let the spammers win: if you need to contact me, please take a minute to extract the address and I will be delighted to hear from you!
